If you are also looking for a powerful, stylish and feature loaded 7-seater SUV, then there is good news for you! Volkswagen is going to launch its new SUV Tayron in India very soon. And the special thing is that this vehicle has been seen for the first time in India during testing without cover.

First Look

As soon as this SUV was spotted on the roads during testing, auto experts’ eyes were drawn to its design details. The look of the Tayron is quite similar to the new generation Tiguan R-Line. Especially its front design, which has sleek LED headlights connected to the black grille cover – which gives the SUV a sharp and premium look.

There is a large mesh-pattern air dam at the bottom, which not only looks great but also increases airflow. Apart from this, 19-inch alloy wheels and a specially designed rear bumper were also seen in the car. And yes, the ‘R’ badge was also seen below the rearview mirror, which suggests that this could be its sporty variant.

Interior

Although no spy pictures of the interior of the Tayron have surfaced, experts believe that it might have a button-less dashboard layout. This means everything can be operated via touch-control. It is also expected to have:

  • A 15-inch infotainment touchscreen, which will be centrally placed
  • And a 10.25-inch all-digital instrument cluster in front of the driver

Engine

Now let’s talk about the heart of the Tyron i.e. its engine. It is going to have a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine, which is capable of generating 204hp of power and 320Nm of torque. Also, it will have a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, which will make gear shifting very smooth and driving fun.

Price

At present, there is no official information from the company regarding the price of the Tyron, but according to media reports, its price can be above ₹ 30 lakh. In such a situation, this SUV can give a direct competition to vehicles like Mahindra XUV700, Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Compass.
